Je suis attiré par la noblesse d’un wapiti taureau et leur présence royale. Lors de la conceptualisation de cette idée, j’ai voulu capturer ce sentiment, mais éviter les représentations communes du wapiti. L’idée d’un grand coup de tonnerre exagérait parfaitement ce concept. J’ai surtout aimé explorer les teintes des violets en créant une peinture réaliste, mais plus magnifiée en couleur pour aller de pair avec le thème.
