3-Day Painting Workshop - Missoula - November 6-8, 2026
I am so happy you are here!
Hi, I'm James Corwin. I love what I do—and most of all, I love sharing my art with you. I create art to draw you in, so you can share a moment with the story unfolding inside the painting—to feel something. Has my art moved you in some way?
After years of sourcing the highest-quality prints, I am very proud of what I have built here in Montana. Only the best. I believe in the quality of my artwork, and I know you will love it too!
Thank you for choosing my art for your space. It means so much to me.

- Painting wildlife and landscape

- Color mixing and values
- Personal one on one help with James.

Schedule:
Friday, November 6 - 10am - 4pm (6hrs)
Bring in images of animals you would like to paint. We will work together on building a thoughtful composition and then begin drawing it out.
We will spend the rest of the day blocking in our painting with the first initial layers of colors and values. This is the most important step of the process and will set us up well for the next 2 days of detailing.
Saturday, November 7 - 3pm - 8pm (5hrs)
This day is spent learning techniques to detail our paintings. The majority of areas should be dry enough for additional layers of paint, leaving those that aren't for the following day. Demos will be given for learning techniques to approaching varying textures within the painting.
Sunday, November 8 - 2pm - 7pm (5hrs)
Another day of detailing our painting and adding any final touches complete the painting. Demos will be given and personalized help for each person's painting.
Cost: $450
Attendees are encouraged to bring wildlife ideas/photographs of their own to create from.
Your own supplies are required. A list of supplies will be provided weeks prior to class so that you can be prepared. We will only be using oil paints.
