As I continue creating wildlife paintings I am constantly thinking of ways I can be innovative and set myself apart from other wildlife artists. This is difficult and honestly, scary. It is so easy for me to simply paint another animal in a landscape. But I don't want to do what everyone else is doing. I want to be unique and recognizable, and above all exceptional in my delivery. This painting is my attempt at beginning to push myself into new territory.
