Resilience - Moose - 30x40 Oil on canvas

Last summer I thought about wildlife returning to the devastated forests after the forest fires ravaged millions of acres. Perhaps they are returning to their favorite foraging ground, only to find it smoldering and charred. I can imagine I would feel sad and lost like this moose. I wanted to capture those feelings of longing to return to a home that no longer exists.
