The Cynosure - Elk - 24x36 Oil on canvas

During an early morning in late summer, the rising sun burned red through the wildfire smoke settled in the Madison Valley. The light saturated the geyser steam rising from the meandering river. A lone elk stood out against this magical backdrop. The cynosure is something that is the center of attention  and stands out in a crowd.
